Looking forward to the EP “Gentle Breeze Pt. 1” available FRIDAY, JUNE 28th! It's a 5 Track album in which I explore my vocal ability and songwriting styles that have been buried under years of "just rappin'". The Alto Saxophone is also featured in one of my more personally meaningful tracks, “Island Of Hope”, which started as a musical prayer of compassion, directed across the Pacific Ocean, while I imagine the people suffering from volcanic fallout struggling to survive and rebuild their lives.
The overall mood and spiritual theme of this EP is based on the truth that GOD will often communicate with us in the “gentle breeze” of of our everyday lives, so we are wise to slow-down and listen closely. Try reading the Bible story of Elijah in 1Kings19:11-13. This project is my first radical break away from throwing down verse after verse of hard-hitting rap, which I love and value, but wanted to give myself permission to explore the more gentle side of things.
