This is the FIRST of 3 Parts to a larger work, which will culminate into a 15 Track LP, released in shorter 5 Track EP's, giving time for the listener to digest the music and let it resonate with their soul. I personally have benefited greatly from making these songs because it has pushed me more deeply into God's heart and who I truly am as a man; sometimes encouraging, sometime painful, but always leading towards glory.
It has taken several years to produce this album, and Parts 2 & 3 yet to be released, because I was learning to play the Alto Saxophone for the first time since 6th grade (I'm 43, for perspective!), learning to sing with actual singing lessons, and learning to mix & master my own music into a final production I could rest contently on, while trying to avoiding perfectionism.
I have been on a big learning curve as an artist & musician, not to mention the lessons of character that I had/have to wrestle through; mainly, denying the desire for people to approve, applaud, and affirm my self-worth for all my efforts-- which are meant to please Jesus, and give love to others by way of my talents.
I hope you hear beyond the music, my voice, and up towards heaven into “The King's Heavenly Concert Hall.”
