Proverbs 20:24 TLB "Since the Lord is directing our steps, why try to understand everything that happens along the way?"
Summer of 2025 will always mark a season of life where I became familiar with the better choice to trust the Lord, rather than to try to figure Him out. In short, many things happened that I never would have expected, planned for, nor had been able to handle on my own strength; but GOD has carried me through!
Granma is gone. Pain turned to mourning. Skill melted to silence. Friends moved on. Questions became more famous than answers. Time runs on.
So, rather than make a futile attempt to explain or understand, I only say:
This next season of music has on my heart and mind to:
- Record some old songs that have been sitting in a box
- Create more songs in a style I call: “Old Hymns New”
- Get back to that “Rap Lyric” and “Chris-on-Sax”
I only hope to be more relaxed about it all, now knowing first hand that I truly don't have control!!
